The flagship street in the historic district of Franklin TN is Main Street. All of Main Street or portions between 1st Street and 5th Street are closed several weekends a year for the increasing popular street festivals.
Main Street Festival, held in April, will attract more than 120,000 visitors! This festival features over 200 vendors including artwork, paintings, woodworking, jewelry, pottery, stained glass, photography and other crafts. Plenty of food trucks and carts provide typical fair foods and specialty drinks. Main Street Festival is family friendly with face painting, a petting zoo, climbing wall and various live music and dance numbers on three different stages!
Pumpkinfest includes a costume contest, live entertainment, chili cook off, food vendors and many arts and crafts vendors. A special Kid’s Zone has pony rides, a bouncy house and petting zoo. Pumpkinfest is scheduled in October each year.
Dickens of a Christmas takes you back in time with the setting of the Victorian buildings and characters from Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol. Many dress in Victorian era costumes so be sure to bring your camera! There are many musical and dance performances, craft vendors and art exhibits and lots of food! Dickens of a Christmas happens in December.
Parking is available is two parking garages, parallel parking along the side streets and several pay lots. Off-site parking shuttles are available on selected dates.
